Name: Kurt Makoske
City: Long Island
State: NY
Country: USA
Serial #: 018731
Color: Green
Condition: Cond 7
Description: I am the original owner of this green swing bike and used it for a little bit and then stored it away about a year after I got it and it has been in storage ever since the late 70's. The bike is still all original although it doesn't have a front brake and I don't recall it ever having one. I rate it as a 7 since the threads on one side of the crank are stripped, but the overall condition is very good since it only had limited use

Name: Joe Malecki
City: San Rafael
State: CA
Country: USA
Serial #: 008698
Color: Orange
Condition: Cond 7
Description: The only thing's original are the frame, springs, possibly the handlebars, seat, and rear rim. I've owned this bike since around '82 or'83 I was around 7 or 8 years old. It was my brothers, and he bought it with all the parts that are still on it. The paint is pretty scratched up, and the frame cracked down by the hub and I had to have it welded. but I used to do my paper route on this bike, and will never get rid of it.

City: Yreka
State: CA
Country: USA
Serial #: 018620
Color: Yellow
Condition: Cond 8
Description: Clean bike, compleate with all reflectors, fenders and all in very good shape. I stripped it down and had it powdercoated DuPont aero yellow, very very close match to stock, and practically indestructable. Reproduction decals were made and it looks very good. I love it, lots of fun to ride, I have been wanting one of these things since I was 14.

Serial #: Bike in Storage
Color: Orange
Condition: Cond 10
Description: Bike is N.O.S in Box. I also have an N.O.S frame and fork Leftover from eleven (11) N.O.S. swing bikes I purchased out of a schwinn dealer 6 years ago. Sorry I sold all but one and the frame. Boxed and all. I think i may have some original literature around that accompanied the bikes. I have seen many swing bikes in the years of collecting bikes in general and have seen three diffrent cranks and also one or two with actual chain guards. I was wondering if anyone has one with a chainguard similar to a conventional 20" bike? I think i have a polaroid of the bikes sitting boxed in my basement around somewhere--iI will have to take a look and forward it to you. Good luck with the registry. Brad

Description: When I got my swing it was nothing but the bare frame. I restored it to what is it now. I couldn't find much O.G parts for it, so I used a lot of crome Schwin parts. The schin forks make it set lower than normal. I had it powder coated black. have had it for 10 years and will always have it.

State: NJ
Country: USA
Serial #: 9612
Color: Blue
Condition: Cond 9
Description: Original early blue Swing Bike. (9+ condition) all original. Has seldom seen (rare?) chainguard. Unique features include early version of the top bar logo (connected together), blue "Swing Bike" color in head badge logo, full chainguard with Swing Bike decal, reflective "spear" decals on front fork, and matching blue cusion grips as opposed to "mini-bike" type blacked rubber finned style. The kick stand is a bolt-on aluminum variety however it is adjustable in length and has a black rubber "foot" at the bottom.--kinda keeps it from slipping--as they do when they are in their "stunt" mode and the frame is unhooked.

Name: David Tyler
David's Custom Swing Bike City: Spokane
State: WA
Country: USA
Serial #: 014965
Color: Was born Blue
Condition: Cond 10
Description: I rescued this bike from certain death. The carcass was bent, broken, rusted, scratched, dented, drilled out ugly mess. It had no wheels, seat, stem/handlebars or pedals. The fork was bent back from hitting something. The seatpost was broke off and severely rusted into the steerer tube of the rear frame section. It had holes drilled in the back section for what I don't know. The rear dropouts had been squished together and twisted. My job at a family owned Schwinn store in Spokane, WA (same city listed on the patent) gave me the access to the tools, parts, time and desire to build what you see so far. I have well over two years of spare time invested. One of the hardest parts was reconstructing the forward position seatpost from scratch. There was many hours of body work filling holes, sanding amd filing. The stick shift lever has been chopped 4 inches and welded and filed to the short version you see. It has an alloy Sturmey Archer sealed bearing 5-speed rear hub with a 36 hole Schwinn S2 rim and slick rear tire. The front is a 16" Schwinn S7 rim with a superior tire. The front hub is actually a rear hub with a band brake from a scooter. The headlight, speedometer, lever covers, handlebar, buzzer and rear deraileur are vintage sting-ray parts. Some other pieces are new replica parts from Schwinn to finish. Because of my ties to Schwinn I chose a red powder coat with a "Apple Krate" theme. I call this my custom "Swing-Ray".

Color: Orange
Condition: Cond 9
Description: This swing bike is not mine. It is my Friend Andy Howell-Jones of Victoria B.C. He found the bike in a wrecking yard and some how aquired it. The bike was really rough, but it was still a swinger. I took it apart and restored it for Andy. He had all the chrome redone and I powder coated the frame and forks at work. The bike still has the original hand grips, cheater slick, tractor grip front tire and all the parts on the bike are original except for the seat. If any body has a decent orange swing bike seat they want to sell please e-mail me. The bike has been in parades and is a hit everywhere it goes. It puts the grrrr in swinger. Shouts to P.B of Vic B.C and If he ever sells his bike its mine.
